First Honda, Now Hitachi

The inevitable is happening - we are entering a world of human-robot interaction. First it was the Aibo - robot dog, meant for human-robot co-existance. Now that Sony has pulled the mechanical dog off its shelves, others are running in fast to explore this space. The new Hitachi Emiew does almost everything that the Hinda Asimo does - but walk. Seems like its being put up at Grand Tokyo Bay hotel - to manage kids, besides being an obvious amusement to everyone who might go near it. Hope it doesnt yet have the muscles to crush the grip of an ill-tempered guy who might wanna test the Emiew's physical capacities in a nut-cracking handshake. We're one step closer to I, Robot.
